More Deck Progress

When I went home at lunch today this was the state of the house...

Then at 4pm, Mark just emailed me a new photo...not finished yet...but much, much better!

Here's a link to more pictures of the project starting from Day 1: http://picasaweb.google.com/markahaden/DeckCrestridge?authkey=Gv1sRgCPzn74bg2pz0EA&feat=email#

A trip to DC, a bad sunburn, and some more deck progress

I went to DC this weekend to visit my best friends from Furman. I had a great time with the girls. We haven't really spent time together just for fun since college. We've seen each other at weddings but it was so fun to just get to relax and talk a lot!

Having a late breakfast on Saturday at Open City

Relaxing in Georgetown by the water

At the World War II Memorial

Kristen & Melissa standing in the fountain

Meanwhile, Mark spent his entire Saturday on the lake playing and having fun and forgetting to wear sunscreen on his back! Ouch!

Then yesterday, I came home to a nearly finished deck. All that's left are the finishing touches, putting in the steps, and installing the french doors.

Crestridge Projects

So, we've decided to add on to our house. Not a "real" addition just yet but just a deck. We're really excited about it though! I think it will add some livable space to our home even though it will be outdoor space. Here's a picture from construction on Day 1. We're planning to replace the picture window with french doors similar to the ones shown in the photo. Very excited about that!

Watch me grow!

Mark and I are 13 weeks 3 days pregnant with our first child. We are so excited to meet this baby someday soon! I think the little peanut will probably be a 2 year anniversary present for us! We're due around December 7th.

Here is a picture from our Ultrasound on April 22nd when we were about 7 weeks pregnant. Then one on May 12th at 10 weeks and 4 days and finally one on June 2nd at 13 weeks and 3 days. How amazing! Only another 6 weeks or so until we'll get to find out if our little peanut is a boy or a girl! Mark is convinced we're having a girl b/c of old wive's tale about the needle and the string. We'll see soon enough!
